RANCANG BANGUN APLIKASI E-VOTING DI SMK NURUL HUDA PETIR BERBASIS WEB DENGAN SENSOR RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION (RFID)

Abstrak
Abstract
Information technology is developing rapidly in all aspects of life and until now its application has created conditions that are conducive to people's work. One activity that can now utilize information technology is e-voting in the election of the chairman and deputy chairman of an organization. Nurul Huda Petir Vocational School has more than 200 students. The democratic process of selecting the head of the school organization is still carried out manually. There will be many obstacles, namely data security risks which will reduce learning time and require large implementation costs. This research aims to create an information system for selecting student council presidents called e-voting to reduce paper use, utilize technology, minimize election time, and reduce election costs. E-voting is a system for creating ballot papers, providing, counting, and displaying ballot results, as well as generating and maintaining audit trails electronically and digitally. This research aims to speed up, increase security, and reduce implementation costs in the election activity process at Nurul Huda Petir Vocational School. The data collection method was obtained by conducting interviews with the principal, deputy principal, teachers, student council members, and students of Nurul Muhtadin Vocational School, conducting direct observations in the field and literature study. This voting application development method uses the Waterfall method using Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling for system design. The e-voting system was built on a web basis using the CodeIgniter Framework and added an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) sensor. The results of this research found that implementing evoting can reduce 80% of the costs of selecting student council leaders, increase the security of vote data, and speed up the process of collecting and calculating vote data.
